Overview

Fargo Paving completed the mill and pave of 200,000 sq ft at Dallas Auto Auction in just 10 working days, despite a 1-day weather delay. The project was executed in 3 carefully planned phases to preserve 100% operational uptime, ensuring no disruption to active auction days or vehicle movement.

About the Client

Manheim Dallas-Fort Worth is one of the region's busiest wholesale automotive auction facilities, operating across 112 acres. The site auctions approximately 2,300 vehicles weekly, both in-lane and online, with near-constant traffic and staging activity. Any downtime could have created major operational and financial impacts across their dealer network.

The Challenge

Our Approach: Seamless Execution

We Took the Planning Burden Off Their Plate

  • Conducted site inspection and traffic flow planning.
  • Developed a 3-phase execution strategy to align with auction days.
  • Created a contingency-adjusted timeline to account for weather risks.

We Executed Without Interruptions

  • Work performed between auction cycles to maintain operations.
  • Managed all subcontractors and traffic control.
  • Delivered daily progress updates without requiring client oversight.

We Built for Longevity

  • Milled and repaved 200,000 sq ft with strategic depth adjustments.
  • Strengthened heavy-traffic zones with reinforced asphalt layers.
  • Regraded key sections to improve drainage and eliminate standing water.
  • Applied polymer-modified Superpave asphalt for extended life.

Why This Was Effortless for the Client

  • No schedule surprises: delivered on time, despite weather.
  • No disruptions: 100% uptime preserved across all phases.
  • Single contact: no burden of coordination.
  • Longer-lasting pavement: expected 8-10 year performance in heavy-traffic areas.
